About the House on the Tickle
The House on the Tickle was lovingly restored in the Fall of 2005. Its sea cottage feel and nautical touches provides a perfect haven for a visit to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Have a 'mug up' in the fully functional kitchen while viewing the ocean crash against the breakers. The livingroom with its large windows provides a perfect opportunity to time the Bell Island Ferry as it crosses the Tickle or watch fishermen unload their catch at the local fish wharf. Of course, there's the kittiwakes, herring gulls and occasional whale to keep you company.
Upstairs you'll find a four piece bathroom and two bedrooms. The bedroom with twin beds would be perfect for any 'mates' you may have had to take with you. The master bedroom, located at the front of the house, looks out over the ocean with each of the five windows providing a different perspective of the coastline. A sitting area allows for the 'captain and first mate' to survey the surroundings and determine the adventure for the day.
